Photowise had been operating from White Light Studio in Zwavelpoort for some time, but when life gave us a whole lot of lemons recently we had to move fast and make some lemonade…..
The new studio, now called Photowise Studio, is a 250m2 studio built and equipped for all types of photography, from products to models, families and babies, from fine art nudes to cars and everything else in between.
Sporting a 60m2 White infinity curve and smaller standard black curve this studio is a pleasure to work in. The very high ceilings allowed for the installation of a 60m2 permanent white scrim, resembling a bedouin tent, and unlike any other used in photographic studios. Adding constant light from below using the latest in LED technology, results in the softest, most beautiful white ambient light. The scrim is easily adjusted to accommodate all types of subjects or models and large enough to accommodate a large off-road vehicle with ease. Thanks to a generous sponsorship of Elinchrom Ranger equipment from Singer, the studio remains functional despite load-shedding.
The next few months will see the development of our creative hub, a creative editing and work space for photographers craving the interaction with other like-minded creatives, without the hassle or expenses of establishing their own office or workspace. The hub will consist of 6 workstations, complete with fast internet connectivity and printing facilities.
Our training facilities are also up and running and quite a few workshops have been added to the list for 2015. The rental rates are being advertised on our website or alternatively make enquiries at info@photowise.co.za.
